I read Happiness: Unlocking the Mysteries of Psychological Wealth by Ed Diener and son Robert Biswas-Diener. The chapter on measuring happiness by country and culture to enable comparative analysis was (for me) the most interesting portion of that book. An example:

I’m surprised by Antarctica. I believe the display of Africa is misleading because of testing and reporting.
